Dyno Testing

The Dynomometer, often refered to as "dyno" is a test performed on an engine to measure its power output. The dyno is connected to the drive shaft (i.e. the propeller end) and gives a pressure reading which we convert to horsepower. This allows us to test the condition of the engine and carry out troubleshooting of the outboard at our workshop where all equipment and parts are readily available, without time consuming sea trials.
